No, unfortunately that is not possible because the warp in the looms determines the width of the carpet. Our weaving mill currently has the capability to weave carpets in widths of 60, 70, 85, 140, 180, and 230 cm. The width of the carpet is determined by the design and the pattern.
Once the order has been registered with us, a confirmation email with the order details will be sent out. Please review the information to ensure it is correct. When the carrier has collected the package from our warehouse, a tracking link will be sent where you can follow the shipment. Please note that it may take up to 12 hours before the tracking link is updated.
If all your ordered products are in stock, we will dispatch your order within 1-2 business days. If all products are not in stock, we will normally ship within 10 business days. Delivery time within in EU normally 3-5 business days. Note that deliveries to rural areas may take longer. You will be notified via text message or email with a tracking link when your delivery has left our warehouse.
If the products get damaged or lost in transit from our warehouse in Sweden, Pappelina AB is responsible. If shipments with obvious damages are delivered, you are obliged to make a complaint to the transportation company immediately. All packing materials must be saved when damaged has been discovered. If possible, please take a photo of the damaged parcel. If you, when unpacking your delivery, discover that the product is damaged, please contact our customer service info@pappelina.com within 5 business days with a photo of the damage.
If a shipment is not able to be delivered and our freight forwarder canât get a hold of you to arrange a home delivery or a pick up at a terminal, your order will be returned to us and we will charge you âŹ50/$50/ÂŁ50 for an uncollected delivery and handling cost. The freight company usually does 2-3 attempts to deliver. If you regret your purchase after the order has been prepared for shipment, you need to receive the order and return it to us, or it will be registered as an "uncollected orderâ, and you will be charged the aforementioned amount.

 If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, Pappelina offers a 30 days return policy, from the day when you received your delivery. If you wish to return your order, please follow the instructions below on our webpage. Please note that samples and MYPAPPELINA cannot be returned.
You can cancel your order if it has not yet been packed and dispatched. Please contact info@pappelina.com if you wish to cancel. If it has been packed and dispatched, you cannot cancel your order. A cancellation is not valid until you have received an email with conformation of the cancellation.

If you want to exchange an item, you need to place a new order on our website for the item you wish to receive instead and return the unwanted item to us. We will then send the new item to you immediately, and once we have received your return, we will issue a refund to your account.
Yes, that's fine. Please note on the return slip which order numbers the items were ordered from so we can link the return to the correct order in our system.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges for returns. You will need to return the item and place a new order on our website, which will be processed as a new purchase

How to make a return from EU
Use the enclosed return label included in your delivery. The cost for returning your order is âŹ20.
Pack your goods well, preferably with original packing material. Include your delivery note in the parcel so we know who the parcel is from. If you have choses the payment option invoice, please contact Klarna to report the return and to prolong your invoice.
Attach the return label clearly visible on the package and leave it at your nearest DHL drop off point. Visit www.dhl.com to find the one nearest you.
When we have received and processed your return, you will receive a confirmation email.

We will refund the payment with the same method you used when purchasing the product. A refund will be done within 14 business days after we have received your return. Freight cost will not be refunded and the return cost of âŹ20 (for EU only) is adjusted upon re-payment.
If you want to make a claim on a product, please contact customer service, info@pappelina.com, who will guide you through the process. Pappelina provides a 3-year warranty (against production defects) on all products. To be able to process your claim, we need a digital photo, clearly showing the problem.
Our rugs are a result of solid craftsmanship, woven on traditional handlooms that are manually adjusted throughout the process. Due to the weaving technique, it is simply not possible to produce a perfectly straight rug. This is not unique to plastic rugs but inherent to the weaving method we use. However, we carefully inspect all our rugs and remove anything that does not meet our high standards of quality.
It depends on the manufacturing process; the plastic reacts in different ways. For technical manufacturing reasons, we must reserve the right to dimensional deviations of ±4%. This applies to all our mats.
Each rug has a specific pattern repeat that determines the available lengths. Our designer has a vision and expression behind every rug, which is why each pattern becomes unique in its dimensions

Unfortunately, that is not possible as the machine that welds our mats would be damaged. It is very sensitive to even the smallest debris, which can both ruin the hem of the mat and damage the welding electronics. Our suggestion is to visit a cobbler who has heavy-duty sewing machines; they might be able to hem the mat and thereby create a new edge
We offer woven swatches in our patterns â EDIT, EFFI, EMM, MONO, SAM, and SVEA. Although not all patterns are available as samples, these 55 different swatches represent virtually all of our colors. A color always has the same name and may appear in several different patterns. Swatches can be ordered from our webshop. Many of our retailers also have woven samples of our cushions and rugs available in their stores.
Contact Pappelina, and we can send you plastic strips to try to repair the rug by sewing with a large darning needle. However, we are unable to assist with performing the repairs
Hand wash or machine wash without spinning, 30°C. It is also perfectly fine to rinse with water or clean with a damp cloth. Make sure to stretch the edges (widthwise, not lengthwise) after washingâpull them gently, do not yank. Use a suitable size washing machine. Rule of thumb: a 70 x 250 cm rug requires at least a 6 kg washing machine. Our rugs are also very easy to vacuum and damp mop. When cleaning larger rugs, a pressure washer can also be used. The plastic bands we weave with are completely colorfast and do not fade when washed with detergents. Read more under the product descriptions.
Yes, it can be stored that way, but it should not be subjected to pressure caused by other weight, for example if something is placed on the mat. Always let the mat âthawâ and warm up before unfolding it, otherwise it may be damaged. Be especially careful with mats that have welded edges.
Here is an explanation and a video to understand the production process. The issue is not a defect and can easily be fixed by the customer. Plastic strips sticking up on woven rugs are completely normal. This happens in all weaving on the type of traditional looms that Pappelina uses. It is part of the craftsmanship. When the plastic runs out in the loom and itâs time to replace and refill with new plastic strips to continue weaving, the machine stops, and the person overseeing the loom takes a new roll and ties the old one to the new one. Then, the weaving continues overlapped for about 10â15 cm before the old strip is cut off. Sometimes when it is cut, it is not cut close enough to the rug, and after some use, a small piece may stick up. This is not a defect but part of the craftsmanship and production process. It can simply be tucked back under a warp thread, but the easiest way is to take a sharp small pair of scissors and cut as close to the rug as possible.
What should you do if a small loop appears in the plastic straps from the mat?
The rugs are folded at our weaving mill and are also delivered folded to our resellers. Just like a folded shirt, there are creases when you unfold the rug. Let it lie flat, preferably in a warmer place, such as on a floor with underfloor heating, and it will straighten out within a day. If there are still fold creases remaining, you can roll the rug tightlyâpreferably around a rod or something similarâand let it stay rolled for a day. It is important not to fold the edge of our rugs with welded edges.
You are correct in what you write; with sufficiently severe wear, it is practically unavoidable that most materials release fragments of various kinds. All materials are affected to some degree by mechanical abrasion. Regarding our product, what we have observed and what our analyses have shown is that under unusually severe wear, the matâs plastic can wear off in piecesâeither larger pieces than those classified as microplastics, but smaller fragments can also detach, which most often fall in the upper range around 5 mm in size.
Good question! Plastic is a debated material, so it is important to distinguish between single-use plastics, plastics made with non-approved raw materials, and other types of plastics. We only use certified phthalate-free and toxin-free PVC, manufactured in Sweden, approved by REACHÂź. By purchasing raw materials made in Sweden, we can meet our high quality standards and guarantee that our mats do not contain any harmful substances. The plastic is approved for use in the food industry and for the production of toys in the EU and the USA. A mat from us has a long lifespan, and you can enjoy it for many years if you take proper care of it. This is an important environmental aspect and a key sustainability perspective â our mats are not disposable products that end up in nature.
The carpet is very hygienic, does not bind or absorb moisture, and does not produce dust. It is ideal for people with allergies or asthma, as well as in environments where cleanliness is an important factor. Please note that we have carpets with linen warp, and if you are allergic to natural fibers, do not choose a carpet with linen warp.
BIOVYNâą is a carbon-neutral, bio-based PVC derived from wood-based tall oil.
This is a relevant and important question. Our plastic rugs are manufactured in Sweden under controlled and responsible working conditions. Local production using Swedish-made raw materials results in a low climate impact both in terms of the energy used in production and fewer transports, leading to lower CO2e emissions. Our rugs are extremely durable and last for many years â sometimes even decades â which means they do not need to be replaced as often. The long lifespan itself is an important sustainability aspect.
When it comes to recycling, the possibility depends on the type of plastic used and the local recycling infrastructure available. We always encourage our customers to take the mats to a recycling center where the plastic can be properly sorted and recycled. In some cases, the material can be reused as raw material in other products. We also continuously work on improving material choices and design to make recycling even easier in the future.
Our rugs are of high quality and under normal use have a very long lifespan, but if it is known that the rug will be exposed to harsher wear than usual, we can provide recommendations since we have weaving techniques that offer greater resistance to tougher environments to achieve maximum durability
Absolutely! Our rugs can be placed both indoors and outdoors and are very resistant to sunlight and UV rays. Colorfastness tests have been conducted in accordance with the international standard ISO 105-A05, where our rugs received a rating of 4 out of 5 (with 5 being the highest score). For extremely hot locations, we recommend our rugs with a hemmed edge.

The carpet can be used on stairs. We recommend that a professional carpet fitter installs the carpet. Usually, custom measurements are needed to use the carpet on stairs. Please contact us or a retailer for more information and pricing.
